Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Provide compassionate support to patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Dental Assistant (CDA/RDA) preferred
• Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
• Previous experience in orthodontics is a plus
• X-ray certification as required by Maryland state regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental software and record-keeping
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
