Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take and process dental X-rays as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Keep patient records accurate and up to date in Denticon
• Manage dental supplies and help the office run efficiently

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-required certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Orthodontic assisting experience
• Familiarity with dental software such as Denticon (preferred)
• Ability to work an evening shift from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM
• Great communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental charting and imaging software
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients and teammates
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Ability to anticipate the orthodontist's needs and work efficiently
