Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch preventive dental care, including cleanings and oral health assessments
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure smooth patient experiences
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold strict sterilization standards
• Collaborate with the dental team to craft personalized treatment plans

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or eligible to obtain)
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• New graduates welcomed - experience not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in radiography (x-ray) techniques
• Patient education and motivational interviewing
• Sterilization and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with electronic dental records (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
