Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with patient examinations and treatment procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms
• Take dental x-rays, impressions, and digital scans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Provide empathetic and reassuring care to patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Certified or licensed dental assistant in the state of Maryland
• Radiology/X-ray certification required
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience highly preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficient in dental software and patient management systems
• Excellent chairside manners and patient comfort techniques
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail with a steady hand
