Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs, and promptly report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Support residents during meals and accurately document food and fluid intake
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote emotional and mental well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Maryland GNA certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in geriatric, long-term care, or rehab settings preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption required
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility compliance requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care techniques and safety protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Basic documentation and computer skills
