Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• Current Maryland GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification
• CPR and First Aid certification (BLS)
• Experience in a long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing environment preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of proper body mechanics and infection control
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Empathy and understanding of geriatric needs
