Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, attentive care to geriatric residents in their daily activities
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
• Monitor residents and promptly report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
• Support residents' emotional and social well-being with patience and respect
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible care

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
• Must bring a valid state or federal ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• A positive, compassionate attitude and a passion for working with older adults

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of elderly care and activities of daily living assistance
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a care team
• Physical capability to assist with lifting and transferring residents
• Commitment to maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality
