Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for residents and staff
• Collaborate with the care team to support each resident's physical and emotional wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption required
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to safely assist with lifts and transfers
• Attention to detail when documenting resident observations
• Empathy and patience when working with older adults
