Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
Provide safe and compassionate bedside care during overnight hours
Observe and report any changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team promptly
Support mobility and fall prevention efforts to keep residents safe
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and staff
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

GNA certification (required) — Class: GNA
Comfort working the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
Demonstrated compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations to licensed nursing staff
Must meet any state-required certifications and facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe transfer techniques
Familiarity with basic resident observation and reporting practices
Good documentation habits and attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset and ability to take direction from the nursing team
