Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional preventive dental care that keeps patients smiling
• Perform thorough cleanings, scaling, and polishing with precision and care
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for accurate diagnosis
• Review patient health histories and note any changes that affect treatment
• Educate patients on brushing, flossing, and nutrition in a way that actually sticks
• Chart findings clearly so the dentist can plan the next steps with confidence
• Keep your operatory clean, stocked, and ready for every patient
• Make every visit comfortable, calm, and genuinely pleasant

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Completed an accredited dental hygiene program
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with the dentist and team
• Strong communication skills and a warm chairside manner
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to jump in for a single day of coverage
• Local to or able to commute to Springfield, VA

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical hygiene techniques including scaling and root planing
• Dental radiography and imaging best practices
• Infection control and sterilization standards
• Patient charting and electronic health record familiarity
• Preventive care education and patient coaching
• Time management to keep appointments running smoothly
• Teamwork and clear communication with dentists and front office staff
