Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare dental operatories and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready for each patient.
• Assist the dentist chairside during pediatric exams and procedures, helping keep little patients calm and comfortable.
• Take and develop dental x-rays while following safety protocols and making the experience fun for children.
• Educate patients and parents on simple oral hygiene tips and post-treatment care.
• Keep treatment rooms stocked, organized, and welcoming for families.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training; Wisconsin state requirements must be met.
• Experience with pediatric patients or in a family dental office is a big plus.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide required immunizations.
• A warm, patient, and friendly approach to working with children.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization standards, and dental x-ray techniques.
• Strong communication skills to connect with children and parents.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a busy office.
• Comfortable using dental practice management software.
