Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging and radiographic procedures under the supervision of the Imaging Director and radiologist
• Position patients safely and accurately to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with clinical teams and families to support patient-centered care and clear communication
• Maintain required documentation, imaging records, and adherence to departmental policies
• Participate in performance improvement activities and continuing education to keep skills current
• Respond to call rotation duties and assist with urgent imaging needs when on-call
• Contribute to a safe, clean environment and follow hospital safety, disaster, and hazardous waste procedures

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of radiology technology
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State radiology license for Montana
• Current BLS certification
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call duty
• Understanding of age-related needs for pediatrics and geriatrics
• Commitment to maintain required continuing education credits

Education

• Graduation from an approved school of radiology technology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and radiographic procedures
• Patient positioning and safe handling techniques
• Radiation safety principles and dose reduction strategies
• Infection control practices and hospital safety policies
• Strong time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy department
• Clear communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with imaging documentation and basic troubleshooting of CT equipment
