Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control policies
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Document care delivered in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications
- Active, unexpired Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (Georgia preferred)
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
- Ability to take and chart vital signs accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety/infection control practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills
