Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, delivering hands-on, person-centered care
• Assist residents in improving ADLs, functional mobility, and independence to enhance quality of life
• Accurately document treatments and patient progress to support clinical decisions and continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective, patient-centered rehab plans
• Adhere to facility policies and state regulations to ensure safe, compliant care

Qualifications

• Active California COTA license (required)
• SNF experience preferred — new graduates with strong clinicals are welcome to apply
• Strong communication and documentation skills to clearly convey clinical findings
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing member of a rehab team
• Comfort working with geriatric populations in a skilled nursing facility setting

Education

• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program (required for COTA licensure)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, functional mobility training, and geriatric rehab principles
• Skilled in clinical documentation and progress-note writing
• Ability to follow treatment plans and implement skilled interventions under OT supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
• Familiarity with SNF workflows, safety practices, and state regulations
