Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform skilled occupational therapy treatments and assist in implementing individualized care plans
• Conduct patient assessments and document progress clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Train and educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home programs
• Assist with adaptive equipment selection, fitting and patient training
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the facility’s record system
• Support efficient patient flow and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Current COTA certification/licensure (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
• Ability to obtain any required state authorization or license for New Hampshire
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working with adult/rehab populations and following care plans
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude
• Reliable, professional, and able to maintain thorough documentation

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (Associate degree or OTA diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies for activities of daily living
• Proficient with patient assessment, treatment planning and progress notes
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and proper fitting techniques
• Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and clinical documentation standards
• Good time management and prioritization in a busy rehab environment
