Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care that helps residents feel safe and respected
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other important changes
• Report observations and concerns to the nursing team so care stays proactive
• Help patients move safely, including transfers, repositioning, and walking assistance
• Keep patient areas clean, organized, and comfortable throughout your shift
• Be a friendly, reassuring presence for patients and their families

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous CNA experience in a skilled nursing, long term care, or hospital setting is a plus
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completed original or updated COVID-19 vaccine, or a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• Compassionate attitude, dependable work ethic, and a true team player mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable taking vital signs and reporting changes accurately
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and the care team
• Attention to detail when documenting care and observations
• Ability to stay calm, kind, and steady in a fast paced environment
• Reliable time management and the ability to adapt to changing needs
