Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
• Follow facility protocols and uphold infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain before start)
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
• Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by the facility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist with patient lifting and transfers

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care techniques and safety protocols
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy laws
• Skill in using patient care equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and thermometers
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills
