Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents in a transitional rehab center
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support infection control and safety protocols to maintain a healing environment
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to help patients reach their recovery goals
• Document care provided accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Prior experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
• Compassionate and reliable team player

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and basic medical terminology
• Ability to assist with ADLs, mobility, and transfers
• Attention to safety and infection prevention
• Adaptability to changing patient needs in a fast-paced rehab setting
