Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to Mercy LIFE participants as a certified CNA
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) — bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding with dignity
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs and participant status
• Follow care plans and communicate changes promptly to the nursing team
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing as required
• Adhere to infection control practices and ensure a safe environment for participants
• Participate in required health screenings and maintain current certifications

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• Successful License/Certificate Verification
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Current health requirements: Trinity Color Vision, 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Physical/Health Statement, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination, and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen
• Comfort working in a per diem/open pool model and flexibility to pick up shifts

• CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing safe, respectful personal care and assistance with ADLs
• Ability to take and document accurate vital signs and observations
• Familiarity with infection control and immunization protocols
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nurses and care staff
• Attention to detail for completing checklists, competency testing, and documentation
• Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to support older adults in an outpatient/community setting
