Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate resident care by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and ambulation, following facility protocols
• Support infection prevention practices by following immunization and screening requirements
• Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the appropriate state (required)
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting preferred
• Ability to pass a Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (required)
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine, and a recent Physical/Health Statement (required)
• Comfort working in a per-diem/PD Pool environment with variable scheduling

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on resident care skills and respect for patient dignity
• Knowledge of infection control best practices and immunization compliance
• Good observation and communication skills for reporting resident changes
• Ability to follow care plans and facility policies consistently
• Team-oriented attitude with flexibility to adapt to shift needs
