Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes in condition promptly
• Accurately document care and resident observations in charts or electronic records
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce injury risk
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the care team to deliver individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention procedures

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Experience or interest in long-term care (LTC) settings preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screening
• Reliable, patient-centered, with strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident-focused caregiving and bedside manner
• Comfortable with vital signs, basic clinical observations and documentation
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to assist with mobility, transfers and safe lifting techniques
• Good time management, multitasking and teamwork in a busy care setting
• Clear communication skills with residents, families and clinical staff
