Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, supporting daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to maximize comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
• Document care accurately in the assigned charting system
• Support dignified end-of-life and comfort care when appropriate

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a per diem schedule
• Basic patient care experience preferred; strong compassion and reliability required
• Comfortable following facility policies, care plans, and safety protocols
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Active CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic nursing assistant skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Able to take and record vital signs accurately
• Strong observational skills and ability to report patient changes
• Good communication and teamwork with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with basic documentation and electronic charting is a plus
• Dependable time management and organization during overnight shifts
