Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team in a timely way
• Support safe mobility and transfers while promoting patient independence
• Perform routine measurements such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and document observations accurately
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients
• Assist with meal delivery and feeding as needed, respecting dietary needs and preferences
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Document patient interactions and care provided with clarity and professionalism

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Reliable, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
• Prior experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, including lifting and standing for shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and charting
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Effective, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
• Basic mobility and transfer techniques
