Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate hands-on care that helps residents feel safe and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and changes in condition
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and repositioning throughout the shift
• Partner with nurses and the care team to keep everyone informed and coordinated
• Keep patient areas clean, comfortable, and organized
• Document care accurately so nothing falls through the cracks

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina
• Current BLS certification
• Prior CNA experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or a documented religious or medical exemption
• Ability to bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• A caring attitude, dependable work ethic, and team-first mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) support
• Vital sign monitoring and basic clinical observation
• Safe patient handling, transfer, and mobility techniques
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Clear communication with residents, families, and the care team
• Accurate and timely documentation
• Compassion, patience, and a calm presence under pressure
