Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care that helps residents feel safe and respected
• Assist residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output so the care team stays informed
• Help residents move safely around the facility, including transfers and walking support
• Keep patient rooms, linens, and shared spaces clean and comfortable
• Communicate changes in condition promptly to nursing staff and supervisors
• Bring warmth and encouragement to every interaction, because kindness matters

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina
• Current BLS certification, or willingness to obtain one
• Completion of the original or updated COVID-19 vaccine series, or a documented religious or medical exemption
• State or federal issued photo identification and a facility photo badge worn at all times
• A genuine passion for caring for others and a dependable, team-first attitude
• Prior skilled nursing or long-term care experience is a plus, but new CNAs are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable taking vital signs and documenting observations accurately
• Knowledge of safe patient handling, transfers, and fall prevention practices
• Strong communication skills for working with residents, families, and nursing staff
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
• Reliable time management and the ability to stay calm in a busy environment
• A caring, patient, and observant approach to resident care
