Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Evening shift, 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM (30-minute meal break)

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility, repositioning, and transfers to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output, reporting changes to nursing staff
  • Support patients with meals, feeding, and hydration needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
  • Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
  • Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is a plus
  • Ability to pass a background check and provide required identification
  • COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and safety protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a care team
  • Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach
  • Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and daily tasks
