Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers using proper body mechanics
• Measure and record vital signs and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Support individualized care plans and participate in team handoffs
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Build rapport with residents and families, offering emotional support and clear communication
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver high quality, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• T-CNA credential or travel CNA experience is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings preferred
• Ability to work the scheduled early morning day shifts and to be reliable for assigned days
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Accurate charting and documentation practices
• Infection control and standard safety procedures
• Clear communication with residents, families, and clinical teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Positive attitude, patience, and a team-focused mindset
