Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately in a busy urgent care setting
• Deliver compassionate direct patient care including wound care, injections, and medication administration
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to develop and implement treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education clearly in the EHR
• Maintain infection control standards and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — ability to practice in the state of assignment
• Experience in urgent care, emergency, or ambulatory care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus depending on site
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Urgent care triage and rapid assessment
• Wound care, splinting, and minor procedures
• Medication administration and IV skills
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
• Patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up coordination
• Infection control practices and OSHA compliance
