Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams using GE and Siemens scanners to produce diagnostic images
• Start IVs for contrast administration safely and efficiently when required
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging systems and PACS (EPIC, Fuji Synapse) to ensure timely image delivery
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols, wear and maintain required monitoring badge, and promote a culture of safety
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and tech staff to optimize patient care and workflow
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care — explain procedures and help reduce patient anxiety
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation in EPIC and follow department policies during orientation and beyond
• Participate in call duties and unit-specific responsibilities reliably and professionally

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (CT) certification (Certified CT Technologist) and ARRT (R) as required
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience (general CT experience preferred)
• Proven ability to start IVs for contrast studies
• Comfortable working night shifts (Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and participating in call rotation
• Valid driver’s license (DL must be submitted) and ability to be in-state for orientation week
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with GE and Siemens CT scanners
• Working knowledge of EPIC, Fuji Synapse and PACS workflows
• Proficient in patient positioning, image acquisition, and contrast administration
• Solid understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Good judgment in emergent and trauma-related imaging scenarios
• Strong time management, prioritization, and documentation skills
• Patient-centered communication and the ability to calm anxious patients
