Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic cath, PCI and structural heart procedures (including TAVR/TMVR) to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Perform and support pediatric cardiac interventions with skill and compassion
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain imaging and EP equipment to ensure smooth procedural flow
• Document procedures, medications and patient status accurately in Meditech and other systems
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly when needed to support urgent cases
• Float to other units as required by Methodist Hospital floating policy to support patient care needs
• Adhere to sterile technique, infection control standards and unit dress/code policies
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and workflow

Qualifications

• RCIS or ARRT certification required (Cath Lab Techs must hold RCIS/ARRT)
• Texas license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience (2-5+ years preferred)
• Pediatric intervention experience required (PEDS/AVR/CCL experience a must)
• Experience with Diagnostic Cath, PCI and structural heart procedures (TAVR/TMVR) preferred
• Meditech experience preferred

Education

• Completion of an accredited Cath Lab Technologist program or equivalent (preferred)
• RCIS/ARRT certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cath lab and EP procedures, equipment and sterile technique
• Experience with pediatric congenital heart interventions
• Familiarity with documentation systems such as Meditech
• Ability to function well on-call and respond under pressure
• Excellent communication, teamwork and patient-centered care skills
• Flexibility to float across units and adapt to variable schedules
