Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards
• Operate CT equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition and processing
• Transmit images accurately and promptly to PACS for clinical review
• Adhere to HFAP/TJC/CMS and State and Federal regulations to maintain compliance
• Participate in quality control and performance improvement activities to raise department standards
• Serve as the first-line interface with patients and clinical teams, delivering compassionate care and clear communication
• Maintain accurate documentation, competency records, and complete required exams and checklists

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification required
• Current CRT issued by CDPH required (per job notes)
• Fluoroscopy permit (CDPH) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Venipuncture certificate must be obtained within 3 months of hire
• Current BCLS (AHA) / BLS required
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT or ABHES-accredited radiologic technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) operation and safety best practices
• Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures and image acquisition
• PACS workflow and image transmission
• Fluoroscopy fundamentals and permit-related requirements
• Venipuncture technique and patient preparation
• Regulatory compliance with State and Federal guidelines
• Quality control and performance improvement processes
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills
