Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly and develop individualized care plans that promote recovery and wellness
• Implement and evaluate treatments and interventions within scope of practice
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care to empower better outcomes
• Transcribe, utilize, and implement physician orders and established protocols accurately
• Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate tasks to ensure safe, efficient care
• Document patient care clearly and timely to maintain continuity and legal standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical and legal accountability in all interactions
• Step in where needed to support unit operations and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the State of Wyoming, in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required if assigned to circulating or recovery duties for C-section
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required if caring for pediatric patients
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for Family Care Unit assignments
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Willingness to complete Electronic Fetal Monitoring training within required timeframes if assigned to labor and delivery

Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent customer service with a friendly, professional attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with patients and team members
• Effective listening and critical thinking to support clinical decision making
• Excellent organization and time management with the ability to set priorities
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when appropriate
• Comfort learning and using new computer software and electronic documentation
• Ability to protect confidential information and demonstrate ethical accountability
• Experience or comfort with special care nursery or NICU environments is a plus
