Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Denver, CO
Start Date: 04-27-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with acute conditions
- Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity in a fast-paced ED
- Perform diagnostic procedures including IV insertion, venipuncture, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active RN license (or compact license) with at least 2 years of acute care ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC certifications required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: CEN, CPEN, US IV competency, and pediatric ED experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and procedures
- Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, and point-of-care testing
- Proficient with Meditech EMR
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with compassion
- Team collaboration and patient advocacy
