Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with acute conditions
• Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity in a fast-paced ED
• Perform diagnostic procedures including IV insertion, venipuncture, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active RN license (or compact license) with at least 2 years of acute care ED experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC certifications required
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Preferred: CEN, CPEN, US IV competency, and pediatric ED experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and procedures
• Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, and point-of-care testing
• Proficient with Meditech EMR
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with compassion
• Team collaboration and patient advocacy
