Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatrics
• Perform EKGs, assist with bedside bronchoscopies, and conduct bedside spirometry
• Operate advanced ventilators (Drager, Servo I, Carefusion) and high-flow devices to support patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RTs, providers, and nurses to ensure optimal outcomes
• Float to different inpatient departments and floors, adapting to varying levels of patient acuity

Qualifications

• Active RRT or CRT certification through NBRC required
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• NRP and PALS preferred; recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Valid driver's license required for submittal (used for 50-mile radius verification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in EKGs, bedside bronchs, and bedside spirometry
• Experience with ventilators (Drager, Servo I, Carefusion) and non-invasive equipment (Vision, V60, V30)
• Knowledge of BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
• Strong time management, adaptability, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn
