Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to bring personalized treatment plans to life
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises that build strength, mobility, balance, and coordination
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, helping patients regain confidence and independence
- Track and document each patient's progress, celebrating every milestone
- Empower patients and caregivers with education on exercises, movement techniques, and safety precautions
- Utilize therapeutic equipment and modalities under the direction of the Physical Therapist
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation that supports high-quality care
- Champion facility policies and infection-control standards to keep everyone safe
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California or eligibility to obtain one
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely assist with patient transfers and mobility
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques
- Understanding of patient documentation and medical terminology
- Ability to use therapeutic equipment and modalities
- Compassion and a patient-centered approach
- Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
