Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to residents, assisting with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration, helping to meet each resident's nutritional needs
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for residents
• Communicate warmly with residents and their families to ensure peace of mind and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work overnight shifts as needed
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to details
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• COVID-19 vaccinated or documented medical/religious exemption (per facility requirement)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic patient care procedures and safety protocols
• Skilled in accurately taking and recording vital signs
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and assisting residents
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
• Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit
