Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Per Diem
Location: Danbury, Connecticut
Start Date: 08-12-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible 8-hour shifts, per diem (day, evening, or night shifts as needed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress
- Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
- Assist with daily living activities and promote patient comfort
- Educate patients and families on health management and care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Connecticut
- Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Prior LPN experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing protocols and patient care standards
- Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Skill in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly in emergency situations
- Compassionate approach to patient care
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
