Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures and treatment
• Prepare patients for their orthodontic appointments
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and operatory rooms
• Take and process dental radiographs as needed
• Provide patient education and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records in Denticon
• Manage patient flow to ensure a smooth, positive experience
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional care

Qualifications

• Active Maryland dental assistant certification or licensure (if applicable)
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Proficiency with Denticon software
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work a flexible per diem schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and supplies
• Skill in taking dental radiographs
• Familiarity with dental charting and Denticon
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment
