Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients of all ages
• Take and develop dental radiographs while ensuring safety protocols
• Assess patients' oral health and educate them on preventative care techniques
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans
• Prepare and maintain instrumentation and operatory cleanliness

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene, preferably in a fast-paced practice
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work a 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM schedule as assigned
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Understanding of dental anatomy, periodontal health, and preventive care
• Skilled in patient communication and education
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Ability to maintain infection control and sterilization standards
