Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms according to safety standards
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed, following proper protocols
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage chairside assistance efficiently
• Help maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure the office runs seamlessly

Qualifications

• Valid dental assistant certification or training from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• X-ray certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Previous experience in orthodontics is a plus, but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and chairside assisting
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and patient care
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
