Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients of all ages
• Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
• Assess patients' oral health and provide personalized education on hygiene practices
• Administer local anesthesia as permitted by state regulations
• Document patient care and collaborate with the dentist to achieve optimal treatment outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
• Skill in providing gentle and effective patient care
