Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a clean environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays, capturing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, promoting excellent outcomes
• Manage patient records and update treatment plans for seamless continuity of care
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in orthodontics, including braces and Invisalign
• Valid dental assistant certification or license in Virginia
• X-ray certification (Radiology) as required by state regulations
• Experience working in a dental office, preferably with orthodontic focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency with braces, aligners, and Invisalign systems
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
