Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend; occasional day shift coverage

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and cardiac rhythms; respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and titrate vasopressors as ordered
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Float to Med/Surg when needed to support the broader care team

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current ICU / Critical Care experience
• Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Active New Hampshire RN license or ability to obtain one
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• BSN highly preferred
• Must live 50+ miles from the facility (no locals)
• Willingness to float to Med/Surg when needed
• 1 supervisory reference from the past year

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasopressor titration
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity settings
• Comfort with telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and emergency response
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to float between units and work with different patient populations
• Skill in patient and family education during stressful situations
