Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding dental hygiene care including cleanings, scaling, and preventive treatments
• Perform thorough oral health assessments and accurately document patient findings
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
• Take and process dental x-rays to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Collaborate with dentists and the care team to create personalized treatment plans
• Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or ability to obtain before start)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Hands-on clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• A genuine commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental anatomy, periodontal health, and preventive care
• Proficiency with dental x-ray equipment and safety standards
• Excellent patient education and communication techniques
• Comfort with electronic dental records and scheduling software
• Knowledge of OSHA and infection control protocols
