Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, personalized care to geriatric residents
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in resident condition
• Support mobility and transfer needs to ensure safety and comfort
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and care team members
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completion of COVID-19 vaccination series or documented medical/religious exemption required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and ADL assistance
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
