Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
• Take and pour up dental impressions, create retainers and appliances
• Expose and process dental X-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling
• Support the team with inventory management and lab duties

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or orthodontic assistant training strongly preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray certification required
• Previous experience in orthodontics or dental assisting is a plus
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
