Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Manage patient records with attention to detail and confidentiality
• Provide a warm, reassuring presence to patients during their orthodontic journey

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant in Maryland (or eligible)
• Experience in orthodontic procedures is a plus
• X-ray certification and radiology experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and orthodontic instruments
• Proficiency with dental software and patient record management
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Precise attention to detail in clinical tasks
• A patient-centered approach with empathy and care
