Location: Tuba City, Arizona

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Weekdays, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 days per week, with on-call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $80 - $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Set up operating rooms before surgery and ensure all equipment and instruments are in working order
Assist with patient positioning, surgical prepping, and draping
Collaborate with surgical team across multiple specialties including general, orthopedic, ENT, and more
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Participate in rotational scheduling and on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

Completion of an approved Surgical Technician training program (AST accredited) or equivalent on-the-job training
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or TS-C) within 6 months of eligibility
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
Ability to work rotating shifts and take on-call duties

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in sterile technique and surgical instrument handling
Knowledge of surgical specialties: general, orthopedics, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, urology, etc.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Familiarity with Allscripts EMR
