Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, self-scheduling and block scheduling with call requirements: one weekday per month, one weekend per month, holiday call dependent on contract

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room and sterile field for cardiovascular, thoracic, endovascular, and other surgical procedures
Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during open heart and robotic surgeries
Maintain strict sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgical team
Float to general OR as needed to support diverse surgical cases
Participate in call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage for emergent procedures

Qualifications

Current Colorado DORA certification (as a Surgical Technologist)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential preferred
Minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience, including open heart and endovascular cases
Willingness to float to general OR when needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in open heart, endovascular, thoracic, vascular, and robotic surgeries
Proficiency in general surgery, neurosurgery, spine, and orthopedic procedures
Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR protocols
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
