Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including 8-hour (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), 10-hour, and 12-hour options with mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM; weekend and holiday coverage provided by call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during a wide range of cases including total joints, general, vascular, spine, and CVOR procedures
Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout every case
Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor and OR leadership to deliver exceptional patient care
Respond to on-call needs for weeknights and weekends to support the OR team

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general surgery, vascular, and spine procedures
Familiarity with Cerner Surginet EMR system
Ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts and participate in call rotation
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile fields

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner Surginet documentation
Skilled in scrubbing for CVOR cases including CABG, valve procedures, pacers, and lung cases
Comfortable with a variety of surgical specialties: ortho, neuro/spine, ENT, trauma, and general/vascular
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Flexible and reliable with call coverage
